Q: How much will my project cost?
A: This depends on many factors including the size and scope of work requested. We are glad to come out in person (safely - with masks and social distancing) to discuss your particular needs, and will have an estimate ready for your review shortly afterwards.
Q: How long will my construction take from start to finish?
A: This, too, depends on the size and scope of your project. Typically projects take between a few weeks to a few months from the time of contract signing through completion, in order to allow for the legal permit access, the various stages of construction, and thorough quality control.
Q: What if I want to make changes after we start the project?
A: This is usually not a problem with the help of a "change order." We get that people may change their minds - especially about something as big an investment as remodeling and new construction. You may always feel free to discuss your needs with us and we will work with you on what can be done to accommodate.
Q: What kind of safety and legal precautions do you take?
A: Safety is a priority, for you and for our crew. We pull all legal permits required in your county, wear masks and frequently sanitize hands and surfaces, and pass every inspection needed so you can feel secure in your new home. We are licensed in the state of Maryland for renovations and new construction building. We are a lead-safe certified firm by the EPA.
Q: What is your payment schedule?
A: We do not ask for full payment up front. An individualized draw schedule will be agreed upon which consists of an initial deposit after the contract has been signed, other payments are broken up throughout the process as the various stages are finished, and the final payment is not due until the final inspection has been passed and all quality control has been completed. We can work with you whether the payment comes directly from you or from a loan company.
Q: Do I need architectural drawings for my anticipated project?
A: This depends on the project size and your county's regulations. If you do not already have an architect helping plan your project, please touch base with us directly and we can connect you with a quality architecture firm.
